Vas6154 is a newer tool by VW which has replaced Vas5054a.Even newer ODIS 4.1.4 dropped support for vas5054a on win10.So eventually we won’t be able to use vas5054a anymore in future.Vas6154 is a newer designed head with wifi capability.

It looks like they have put their vxdiag vcx nano board inside a vas6154 case and calling it as a clone of newer Vas6154.

Actually NO. They’re different.
One side is similar. The other side vcx nano for VW/Audi is more complex. It could be firmware updated to support odis-S 4.1.3. I guess but if it does it may not be backward compatible with older odis-S (odis-E). Current firmware supports up to odis-S 4.1.3. Its API is old and it supports odis-E 6.6.1 but not sure of flash capability.

It means they have improved the board based onvxdiag nano’s design, then make a new vas6154 with4 leds installed

Vxdiag vcxnano could not fit into OBD port of Audi, so you needed to buy an external cable extender, so they have changed shell to look like vas5054a/ vas6154 and made some other board features that can be only used with VW/Audi unlike vcx nano which can be used with many makes, if one purchases the license.

And I don’t think Vxdiag clones as original rather they use different design, which can work well for coding and calibrations but not firmware flash with odis engineering. VXdiag does not make enough tests. They have not managed to give information regarding flashing with O-E or giving out the info regarding which O-E is the compatible version. No youtube video no guidance.

I have vxdiag vcx nano wifi for VW and the board does not resemble with 5054a even though it is recognised as one. Flashing with odis engineering 6.7.5 failed causing instrument cluster failure. Odis engineering 6.6.1 may work since all other functions work (tested and work) but I am afraid to check flashing capability since I don’t have a proper vas5054a as a back up. I am more interested in capability and internal chips quality rather than external appearance.

With point-to-point connection via a wireless network, VAS 6154 creates a radio network. VAS 6154 thereby adopts the role of a radio access point (Access Point). A direct connection is made between the diagnosis unit and the diagnosis interface VAS 6154.

Before install DAF VCI Lite software, you need to know:

Now DAF Davie 5.6.1 will come with DAF VCI Lite V1 DAF Truck Scanner, tested working 100% YES.

Software will be provided in the format of Acronis images, not DVD or CD format

So software no need activation, no need installation!

If you are sure to install it by yourself, you can check below DAF Davie 5.6.1 installation steps:

Prepare a laptop with Windows 7 32bit. Win 8 and Win 10 haven’t been tested.

DAF Davie 5.6.1 installation need at least 30GB hard disk space!

Burn the ISO files to DVD discs or use Alcohol120% software to emulate DVDRW Drive.

Steps to start:

1. Insert DAVIE 5.6.1 disc and install DAF Davie as usual
2. Run DAF DAvie

Click on Login button

Enter USER ID ADMIN

Password ADMIN (two times)

3. You’ll get the message

“Your user code is not installed. Install your user code per instructions”

Copy WKSCode file to USB flash and insert it to the laptop

Click OK in the message window

If everything is going right, you’ll see “Logout” and “Administration” buttons

If you get the message “Wrong code”, download WKS ISO file and insert it in Alcohol120%. Then click OK and the code will be installed.

4. Insert ISO disc AS84_PRS16.40 to Alcohol120%

Click on Administration button in DAVIE

Choose Install Update, then Browse, choose Application folder, click OK and choose required language, then OK and OK again

Wait till it will be installed.

Click OK

Program will be restarted.

5. Enter ADMIN/ADMIN

Click on Administration button in DAVIE

Choose Install Update, then Browse, choose Parts Rapido Subset folder – OPEN -PRS 16.40.F0 will be installed – OK

It will take more time for installation than App update.

6. Extract files from 16.51 update. Click on Administration button in DAVIE

Choose Install Update, then Browse, choose folder with extracted files – Open – OK. Wait a little.

7. Add user account and name it TECH. Click on Master technician to higher user rights. Click on Password and type TECH.

You will use this account for trucks diagnosing.

8. Reboot pc and start DAF software and type TECH and password TECH.

Step1. Download newest software from SuperOBD official website

Step2. Connect SKP-900 key programmer to computer using the USB cable.

Register SKP-900 official website in member centre. Download the update software and unzip it to get the “update bin file”.

Step3. Extract SKP900 Update Tool V2.4 zip file and SKP900 USB Driver zip file. Now install SKP900 driver: go to “My Computer” → “Properties” → “Hardware” → “Device Manager”

The USB serial will not be found now. Click the “Scan” button to scan the hardware.

Step4. You will see a Found New Hardware Wizard for “USB-Serial”, click “Next”.

Check the checkbox “Include this location in the search” then click “Browse”. Choose “USB driver” folder then click “OK”.

Click “Next” then “Finish”.

Step5. There comes another Found New Hardware Wizard for “USB Serial Port”, choose the option “Install from a list or a special location”, click “Next”.

Click “Browse”, choose “USB driver” folder then click “OK”. Click “Next” then “Finish”.

Now SKP900 USB driver install completely.

 

Step6. Open SKP900 Update Tool V2.4 folder then open SKP900 Update Tool V2.4.

Open the update bin file then click “Update” to start SKP900 update. (Remember not to disconnect SKP-900 form computer while updating.)

The whole process will cost about 37 minutes, just be patient to wait it complete. And after that all OK, you can start to use newest SKP900 software!

How to Unlock & Program Toyota Land Cruiser VXR V8 Smart key

Guide to unlock and program smart key on a 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser VXR V8 5.7 4×4.

The solution was provided by a Chinese locksmith A Jie.

Problem:

A customer bought a Toyota Cruiser VXR V8 5.7 in Aug, 2016. When came back home he found one of keys did not working, could not start the vehicle. He came me for help.

Diagnose:

Check the key frequency and chip type with ND900 key copy machine. It showed key’s programmed, so the smart key is okay.

Analysis:

1. The smart key has been programmed but not been learned

2. 4S store gave you the wrong key (the key is not for this vehicle)

How to check:

Method 1:

Program/learn the smart key by using SKP1000 tablet car key programmer. Unfortunately, skp-1000 failed to learn key. So the smart key is not correct key for this vehicle.  You should get the smart key unlocked and programmed. Go and check method 2.

Method 2:

Step 1: Unlock Smart key

Unlock the smart key with Xhorse VVDI2 key programmer or ND900 Mini

Perform Blank Check,  key indicator will flash within 5 seconds if VVDI2 unlock success

Again use ND900 to check the unlocked smart key.

It shows not been programmed

Unlock smart key done.

Step 2: Add/Program smart key 

Connect SKP1000 key programmer with vehicle via OBD socket

Select Immobilizer function- >select Toyota->Smart key CANBUS-> Smart key system

Choose OBDII connector

Turn ignition ON

Press YES to continue

Press the Start button

Put the registered smart card into coil.

If hear a beep sound, take away the smart card

Select Add smart key

the working key is close to the emergency starting induction antenna

Change a new smart key and put it into the coil

Press YES to continue

the new smart key is close to the emergency starting induction antenna

Configuring…

Program/Add smart key success

Test the new smart key.
